The Rapture

It seems the rapture scheduled for 6pm yesterday never arrived, because we're all still here.  However, this could be a ship full of heathens and maybe in 4 days time we will return to shore to find a post-rapture earth, plunged into chaos and anarchy.  I doubt it though.  Who knows, maybe post-rapture earth will even be a more open, cordial place where the remaining folk have fewer hang ups with less inclination for mass slaughter in support of their beliefs.

Those people who got rapture insurance for a heathen to look after their dogs once they had ascended to heaven must be feeling a little silly around now.  Though I guess anybody who gets rapture insurance probably lacks the necessary insight to ever feel silly about the things they do.

While there was no cataclysmic event, another volcano did go off on Iceland.  Unfortunately we are not quite close enough to see the plume, which, fortunately  for my future travels, is heading westward.
